Okay…the roof has been on the house for quite some time. Now, the inside is starting to take shape. Several buckets of paint have been emptied, and lighting fixtures are being installed.
The next big project has been the ceiling.
Not everyone has a taste for the beetle kill blue stain pine, but this ceiling is something we have been dreaming of. With two bunks of lumber and several hours of routing complete, we are finally starting to see the fruits of our labor come together!
To help with the installation, we routed the boards so that they were end-matched. This made it so that we did not have to worry about each board ending on a stud.
In order for two people to be this high in the air who are extremely afraid of heights, there had to be some excellent supervision!
Another big thanks to my dad on this project! He, along with a great neighbor and a coworker, spent a lot of hours on the lift with us putting these boards up!
The final product turned out to be beautiful!
