Landing Down Under

The new year landed us on a little vacation…for the next few weeks we will be touring around the southeastern corner of Australia!

Although this is my first trip to Australia, it is my third time traveling to this part of the world. There is one thing that I really appreciate about visiting both Australia and New Zealand…the laid-back culture. People are not rushing around. Stores do not stay open late. There is always time for afternoon tea.

A day trip over to Manly Beach to survive a quick spell of triple digit temperatures brought us to a wonderful spot to enjoy breakfast. The Pantry Manly served up modern Aussie cuisine full of fresh flavor. A short walk down the beach led us to a breezy spot under a shade tree providing great ocean views.

A few ferry hops on our return back to the city gave us quite a view of the harbor.

Sydney sure was a wonderful introduction to Australia. It is a beautiful city with so much to see, do and eat!
